Improve your online lessons with Mentimeter

Make a quiz

A quiz? it may sound like something that is just for fun but it doesn't have to be. Last month ProDemos gave my class a lesson where we got to learn more regarding politics and the Dutch constitution. Instead of giving a long lecture, they decided to set up a quiz with questions about different topics. After every question they would explain the given topic using our answers. This way you can get a good idea of what people already know and which aspects you should focus on the most during your presentation.

Polls

When debating or discussing about a certain topic it could help a lot to use live polls during the lesson. It gives you and the students a clear overview of the general opinion in a class. This is a good way to fuel the debate and steer the conversation in the right direction.

Hopefully this article gave you a good overview of some of the the possibilities Mentimeter gives you to improve your lessons and presentations. Feel free to get in touch with me with any questions or to share your own experience.
